A book “The fire of Sindoor, A Deep Dive into India’s Operation Sindoor” throwing light on four-day long conflict between India and Pakistan that followed terrorist attack at Pahalgam in Kashmir killing 26 innocent tourists on April 22 written by Indo-Spanish author Roshan Bhondekar, was recently launched in Gujarat and Madrid in Spain.
In Gujarat, the book was launched in a function organized at Vadodara. Veteran Colonel Vinod Falnikar, Dr Sunil Nayak, GMERS, Vadodara, Chandraraj Solanki, ACP, Vadodara, Nayan Kothari, Chartered Accountant, Amit Shah, Chairman, Ambe Group of Schools, Vivek Shah, Director, Ambe Group of Schools, Dheeraj, CEO, Ambe School, Bhavesh Solanki, Office Superintendent, Gandhi Nagar, Seema Yadav, Prosecutor and Notary, Gujarat High Court and Paresh Shah, Headmaster, Ambe School attended the function.
In Spain the book was released by the author Roshan Bhondekar and Sahra Ardah in a function attended by local people and representatives of NGOs. The book is available at over 30,000 stalls in 150 countries. A 210 page book has been published by Ahmedabad’s “Wright India Publishers” and priced at Rs 240.The funds raised from the royalty and the sale of book will be donated to India-based NGOs engaged in welfare activities related to orphan children.
The book written by Bhondekar and Co-author Niloy Chattaraj, gives detailed account of “Operation Sindoor”. It chronicles developments from April 22, when 26 innocent terrorists were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, till the ceasefire on May 07 and the decisive reply given by India at Diplomatic level as well as on the war front.
The book highlights the skill-full attack by India’s Defence forces on 09 terrorists bases of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen located at Bahwalpur, Mudirke and other places and its impact on developments in South East Asia,
The book focuses on the conflict which began on May 07 on moonless night and continued till a ceasefire on May 10 and frames “Operation Sindoor” as both a military success and a cultural statement, while acknowledging the strained India-Pakistan relations that followed. The book traces decades of cross-border terrorism, detailing the use of advanced weaponry-like “SCALP”, “BrahMos” missiles and loitering munitions, and explores the operation’s global diplomatic repercussions.
The book draws on extensive research, including reports from Indian and international media, as well as insights from defense experts and journalists. It as a “riveting chronicle” that intertwines human courage, strategic planning, and geopolitical intrigue. It promises to dissect Pakistan’s response, the media’s role in shaping narratives, and the broader implications for counterterrorism. The authors’ balanced lens aims to present India’s resolve alongside Pakistan’s perspective and the world’s cautious reaction, offering readers a nuanced view of a polarizing event.
